We, 12 crore Senior Citizens of our Country welcome you as our Prime Minister and give you blessings to be very successful in your task of leading our Nation to Peace & Prosperity.

As you may be aware 4 Policies are declared by the Government for welfare of Elders from 1999 onwards- i) National Policy for Older Persons, 99; ii) Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act, 2007, iii) Integrated Programme for Older Persons (IPOP, 2008) and iv) National Programme for Health Care of Elders (NPHCE, 2010). Most of the provisions of these Policies are not sincerely implemented so far, resulting in depriving us of benefits intended to be given to us. Even Mandate and Policy Statement for all Public Authorities to take effective steps to improve the quality of life of all Elders, strengthen their legitimate place in society and help them to live their last spell of life with purpose, dignity and peace are not being followed by most of the Public Authorities. We, therefore, request you to give us Cabinet Minister and State Minister of high caliber, very active, sincere and with pro-elderly attitude, who will personally monitor implementation of these Policies and get the Machinery under them very well strengthened and streamlined.

We also wish you bright success in achieving all your declared Aims for uplift of our Country, especially of One Nation-One Code of Conduct and Corruption less Governance by early legislation of ``The Right of Citizens for Time bound Delivery of Goods & Services & Redressal of their Grievances Bill, 2011`` and Lokayukta Bill etc.
